SPORTS FAN 101
Score the balance in your relationship.
The vision for Sports Fan 101 is to help bridge the communication gap
between the sports fans and non-fans of the world, thus creating a world
of understanding and compromise, which will help minimize some of the
daily stresses and anxieties people deal with that are often difficult
to talk about.
Sports Fan 101 is NOT intended to turn non-fans into sports fans or to
teach them how to play the sports themselves. The goal is to help your
relationship… one conversation at a time.

HE SAYS, SHE SAYS, AND THE DOCTOR SAYS
My wife often makes me feel guilty for watching sports. What
can I do to let her know I’m not choosing sports over her, yet
still be able to watch what I want?

have been trying to figure out for a long time. At
least you feel guilty. Many men don’t. Which
is worse?
Think about it, you’re sitting on the couch, remote in one hand,
beer in the other.…

Deep
thoughts… by Craig Bender…
In order to see the world through each other’s eyes, many relationships
must learn to communicate more effectively. But it’s our own
personal growth that needs to develop every single day. Everything
we say is a conscious decision and believe it or not, it’s something
we can control. It’s called a filter. It’s also
too easy to quit, give up, and not challenge yourself in life, your work,
and your relationship. It’s much more difficult to do “whatever
it takes” to make your life a success! It’s called self-discipline. The
best things in life take effort. And the more information you know
about one another, the better you can learn to compromise.
And please remember, it’s not always what you say, but how you
say it! The tone in your voice and body language can quite often
speak louder than your words… |
